His home classes will be in the format of "Guru Kulam".
Students will be instructed to treat every class held at any one's residence as "Guru Kulam", and the students will gradually grasp the Guru Kulam concept. That it self is a practical training aspect of the Veda classes, inculcating respect and humility to parents and elders, Guru and then, God.
Theme will be " Sandhya Vandanam" - personal tutoring and coaching by Sri. Dikshitar. Sanskrit writing and reading, skills for serving the Guru, cleaning, helping and what ever needed, cooking class for making their own meal. will include hands on coaching, healthy vegetarian meal, art, music etc. ( need parents and other volunteers. Also will include girls, who will simultaneously learn Lalitha Sahasra Namam, Kolam, Slokas, Stories, Sanskrit and cooking, higher class students will have discussion, understanding and adapting the values taught by the Vedas in daily life. Visiting Speakers will address students. The schedule for this is in planning stages and will get feedback from those interested.
The first Homework assignment was this theme: " Matha, Pitha, Guru, Deivam"
Mother and father are the first Guru and in thses days where the guru can not have the students, they are staying with their own parents. Hence, the students have to treat their own home as " Guru Kulam", listen and obey to the parents as if they are the Guru himself, and practice all the lessons taught by the Guru ( Acharya- Sri. Dikshitar) until next class.
Students are encouraged to write individual things they did differently form their usual norm by following this principle. An example given at the time of class was, to follow the mother's command the first time itself instead of having her to repeat it. Equal credit will be given to practical assignment as the rest of the assignments. Home work assignments can be found in the website.
